Follow these seven simple steps to create the lifestyle plan that will finally get you on the right track to living your healthiest life yet!


Step 1: Identify the problem

I want to create a healthy lifestyle but I can't stick with it. We've all been there. It feels impossible. 

We come up with so many excuses: It's just not for me, I don't have time, What if this, what if that, etc. The list goes on and on and we end up in the same place where we started.


Step 2: Define your ideal health

It's hard to create a healthy lifestyle plan you can actually stick to if you don't know what healthy means for you. 

Take some time now, or on any day that feels like it could be your starting point, and decide on one aspect of your health that you want to work on. 

For example, if weight loss is the issue for you, let's assume that the goal is 10 pounds in six months. That means losing about 1.8 pounds per month!


Step 3: Develop an action plan

An action plan is the foundation of your healthy lifestyle and will be instrumental in helping you achieve your goal. Here are some steps to get started: 

1. Identify Your Values - What matters most to you? 

2. Make a Commitment - Write down what you're committing to; include your health goal 

3. Prioritize - List all of the commitments that are on your plate, then circle the one that's most important and determine how much time per day you'll need for it.


Step 4: Do something every day

Getting into the habit of doing something active every day, even if it's as simple as going for a ten-minute walk, is one of the best ways to build healthy lifestyle habits. 

The more time you spend focused on your health, the better chance you have of realizing your goal. 

So even if you're just beginning and things seem overwhelming, do something every day—even if it's small—to get yourself back on track!


Step 5: Incorporate healthy habits into your routine

The best way to have success with your healthy lifestyle is by incorporating healthy habits into your routine. 

There are many different aspects of life where you can work on developing new habits such as eating, exercising, sleeping, etc.
